Yosemite... Sort of

So we made it Yosemite...  sort of.  When we got to our campsite at Wawona, we realized that their bear boxes are SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than Sequoia's.  Our ice chest doesn't fit.  The rangers said we had to purchase new smaller ice chests to hold our food, and directed us to their store where they (conveniently) sell $40 small ice chests--we need two.  Not happening.

So, we elected to head back to Oakhurst for lunch at Burger King and shop for disposable foam coolers instead.

The kids are all tired, and it is hot and cramped at Wawona, but we hear it is worse in Yosemite Valley.  So our plans have been de-railed for now.  We are hoping things go better tomorrow.  We don't have cell service in Wawona, so we'll check in tomorrow when we get back to Oakhurst.  We are finally going to get to stay in a hotel!  Woo hoo!
