After trying for 30 minutes to convince the kids to go to lunch, Justin and I decided to let them eat macaroni and ramen at the hotel while we went on a mini date and had lunch at The Harbor Fish Cafe.
The kids were perfectly happy to stay at the hotel and watch tv, and we had some yummy clam chowder, fish, and clams--and some time together. Perfect.
When we got back, we took the kids to downtown Carlsbad and hit The Chocolate Bar. Tatum was in heaven.
They have handmade chocolates and some specialty candy.
We walked through the streets and even hit a music shop, where Connor was in heaven. He got to play a bass ukulele and drool over a 5 string bass.
And now Justin and Connor are watching a Fast N' Loud marathon while the girls laugh at Full House. Nothing too adventuresome. These kids are dead tired and ready for home. We're sleeping in tomorrow, and then our adventure comes to a close. We'll see you bright (but not too early) tomorrow.
