Kayaking and Other Adventures

Our next adventure was kayaking.  The kids knew from day one that they wanted to kayak, so we promptly found a place to rent them.

There was a cute little general store/RV resort down the path from our campsite, and they just so happened to rent kayaks.  The kids and Justin all took turns paddling around the lake.

And when they weren't in the kayak, the girls found this dead fish immensely entertaining.  Some of the stuff these kids find fun...  (shaking my head)

Connor was actually really good at kayaking, and he and Justin are making plans to buy one when we get home.

Justin even let the kids go around solo, which made me very nervous.  They did great, though.  No accidents or tipped kayaks to speak of.

After kayaking, we stopped for ice cream (and a Coke) and headed back to camp for our biggest adventure yet...

The campsite showers!  They weren't really warm, and they were pretty hard to work, but we are clean and ready for dinner.

Steak, potatoes, and salad tonight, and then we are turning in early.  Tomorrow we leave bright and early for Sequoia.  Good night!
