Camp Richardson by the Beach

We made it to the beach.  It took 1 1/2 hours longer than expected thanks to crappy L.A. traffic, but the sounds of the ocean make it all worth it.

We set up camp, got some laundry done, and even had time to play in the waves.

And then we watched the sunset from our camp chairs.

And now we are making hot dogs over a warm propane stove fire.  The best part? No bear boxes and we can be as messy as we want!  We can leave food out on the table--even if it is beyond arm's reach!  I love it!

We are all pretty excited and sad that this is our last night of camping, but what a way to end it, falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
