Moro Rock

We woke up bright and early this morning to begin our adventure.  We packed up our Camelbaks with snacks, water, and lunch, and headed out to Moro Rock on the shuttle.

The shuttle was dead, and we were basically the only ones on it.  We started to wonder what we were getting ourselves into and why no one wanted to go to Moro Rock.

Moro Rock is a 1/4 mile staircase that ascends 700 feet.  There are over 400 stairs.

Tatum about left us when she saw it, but we talked her into going.  It was actually not too bad.

We made it to the top, and there was minimal whining.  Connor and Rylee were machines, and we had to hurry to keep up.

At the top, we were rewarded with beautiful views.  We could see the whole Western Divide and Kaweah Lake.  It was beautiful, and well worth the effort.  Since it was such an easy trail, we decided to go on to Crescent Meadow.  We'll tell you about that tomorrow.
