Blowing up the Gingerbread Houses

We celebrated Christmas with the Campbells today. Everyone gathered at Grandma Greta & Pardner's house for great food, "paper bag stockings," and our gift card exchange. It was lots of fun. The kids had a blast with Grandpa Zeke & Grandma Debby, and really enjoyed their "stockings" and gifts.

Christmas celebration with the Campbells wouldn't be complete without blowing up the gingerbread houses we worked so hard on earlier in the year. Justin and his aunt, Jill, worked on a special Thai temple gingerbread house, just for cousin Charlotte, who was in Thailand at the time. Cousin Emily and Tatum worked on an animal theme this year, Tatum put every plastic animal Grandma Greta had their house--there was even a horse that lived inside. Rylee worked with Grandma Debby and Pardner to make a beautiful house(the OCD one with perfectly lined rows of candy on the roof) as well. Connor and Grandpa Zeke were a team, making a wintery snow covered house. We were a little sad to see them all demolished, but the kids had a great time chucking oranges and those "huge lemons" (grapefruits) at it. A few of the older ones even got to use the BB guns.

It's always good to get together with family, and today was no exception. The kids enjoyed seeing their cousins and grandparents and it was a great way to wrap up our holidays!
